Gelatin & Collagen - Your new best friend!

Gelatin makes up 25-35% of the human body. We need this stuff!

WHY USE GELATIN and COLLAGEN AS A PROTEIN?

  1. Liver Detox - Gelatin & Collagen are rich in glycine, which can be considered a conditionally essential amino acid. The human body needs a great deal of glycine for detoxification from exposure to chemicals in our toxic environment.

  2. Weight loss -  Gelatin & Collagen arefull of protein, which the sense of satiety and promotes eating higher quality foods. Gelatin can help with liver detox which will boost fat burning ability.

  3. Cellulite - Cellulite is caused by a breakdown of collagen, which can be exacerbated by nutritional deficiencies.  It is also anti-estrogenic and may help balance hormones and break down fat that causes cellulite.

  4. Gut Health – Gelatin & Collagen are one of the best foods for gut health. It helps to fill holes and damaged areas (leaky gut) of the stomach lining and gut, and reduces inflammation. Gelatin & Collagen increase the amount of gastric acid in the gut, which is needed to breakdown and digest protein.

  5. High Metabolism - Glycine from Gelatin & Collagen can boost metabolism and build and maintain muscle. It helps regulate insulin sensitivity keeping people from storing abdominal fat.

  6. Adrenals - When our bodies are under extreme stress they actually need more minerals and amino acids, which can be provided by gelatin and collagen. The nutritional matrix in bone broths and gelatin/collagen may actually help rejuvenate the kidney, adrenals, bladder which help us deal with stress and cortisol.

  7. Allergies - Gelatin & Collagen can alleviate allergic reactions and sensitivities because it helps seal inflamed and porous gut linings. A permeable intestinal lining is a core issue in allergies because it is an immune barrier responsible for keeping out pathogens.

  8. Bone Health – Our bones are made up of collagen. You know that calcium is needed for healthy bones but calcium is needed with collagen to make our bones healthy and strong. Gelatin in bone broth or grass fed powdered gelatin is the best way to get collagen.

  9. Joint Health – It’s common knowledge that collagen is needed for healthy joints (the connective tissues in our joints are made up of collagen). According to studies, athletes who took a collagen supplement experienced less pain in their joints and saw an increase in performance!

  10. Skin & Hair Health – Collagen gives your skin its elasticity and helps to keep your skin wrinkle free. Gelatin improves the strength and shine of your hair. This super food supplies abundant calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, which builds strong nails, teeth, and hair.
